Auckland Live is proud to present the Auckland premiere of Everybody Knows, the new show from award-winning circus comedy trio Laser Kiwi, developed in partnership with Hannah Playhouse in Wellington. Part of the 2026 New Zealand International Comedy Festival with Best Foods Mayo, the season plays in Wellington 5 – 16 May at the Hannah Playhouse and Auckland from 19 – 23 May at the Herald Theatre, Aotea Centre.
Internationally acclaimed for their surreal blend of elite circus technique and offbeat sketch comedy, Laser Kiwi deliver a fast-paced, hilarious and delightfully chaotic show. Expect razor-sharp juggling, sky-high aerials, unforgettable characters and one-of-a-kind circus feats. Bold, comical and wildly creative, Everybody Knows invites audiences to switch off the serious, lean into the nonsense, and enjoy laughing together.
Following a six-month residency in Hamburg and the show’s world premiere at the 2025 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Laser Kiwi now bring their newest creation home. The New Zealand season marks the first season on home soil since the trio appeared on US TV series Penn & Teller: Fool Us.
Founded in 2014 by brothers Zane and Degge Jarvie, alongside world-class aerialist Imogen Stone, Laser Kiwi describe themselves as the ‘world’s only surreal sketch circus’. Winners of the Overall Circus Award at Fringe World and Best Circus and Physical Theatre at Adelaide Fringe, they have thrilled audiences around the world.
The development of Everybody Knows is the result of a pilot partnership between Auckland Live and the Hannah Playhouse in Wellington to support the creation of new New Zealand live performance works.
“We’re thrilled to present the New Zealand premiere of Everybody Knows and to see the first major outcome of our partnership with Hannah Playhouse come to life,” says Daniel Clarke, Director of Auckland Live.
“This festival season brings fresh new work to Auckland audiences, and Laser Kiwi embodies that ambition - delivering a big comedy night with innovative humour and high-energy circus skill to Aotea Centre.”
This festival season come laugh, gasp and vibe into the night with Laser Kiwi.
