DARA Ó BRIAIN RETURNS TO NEW ZEALAND WITH BRAND-NEW STAND-UP SHOW RE:CREATION

International comedy powerhouse Dara Ó Briain is returning to New Zealand with his brand-new live show, Re:Creation.

Following the phenomenal global success of his previous tour, So... Where Were We?, which sold out 173 venues across 20 countries and was named UK Comedy Tour of the Year at the 2023 Chortle Awards, Dara is back doing what he does best: standing on stage, telling brilliantly crafted stories, and creating unforgettable moments with his audience.

Having already played to sold-out crowds across the UK, Ireland and Northern Europe, Re:Creation now heads Down Under, bringing audiences another evening of Dara's trademark wit, razor-sharp observations and masterful audience interaction.

Renowned as one of the world's finest live comedians, Dara combines quick-fire intelligence with effortless improvisation, making every performance unique.

His previous live show, So... Where Were We?, won Best Tour at the 2023 Chortle Awards and toured extensively across the UK, Ireland, Europe, Scandinavia, Australia, the Middle East and North America.

Originally from Ireland, Dara began his television career as a children's presenter on RTÉ while studying Mathematical Physics at University College Dublin and performing stand-up on the Irish comedy circuit. He rose to prominence hosting the acclaimed panel show Don't Feed the Gondolas before relocating to the UK, where he became one of Britain's most recognisable comedy personalities.

Beyond television, Dara is a bestselling author, an in-demand awards host—including the BAFTA Games Awards—and a prolific international touring comedian, having performed everywhere from Sydney to Moscow, Tromsø to Malta. He also holds the record for the most performances in a single year at Dublin's iconic Vicar Street.

With Re:Creation, audiences can once again expect Dara at his exhilarating best—quick-thinking, wildly funny, and creating the kind of spontaneous comedy that only happens in a live theatre.
