PANNZ SECURES FUNDING FOR EDINBURGH FESTIVAL 2027 SHOWCASE
We're thrilled to share that Performing Arts Network New Zealand (PANNZ) has received funding through Manatū Taonga Ministry for Culture and Heritage's Cultural Diplomacy International Programme to present a showcase of New Zealand performers at the Edinburgh Festival in 2027.
Building on the long-standing relationships Aotearoa artists and organisations have developed in Edinburgh over many years, including through Creative New Zealand-supported initiatives, this new PANNZ-led model, supported by Manatū Taonga, gives our performing arts sector a new moment to shine, raising the profile of New Zealand work internationally and opening doors for artists in a vital global market.
“Edinburgh is an extraordinary meeting place for artists, presenters and audiences from around the world. We’re excited to support Aotearoa artists to be part of this vibrant international festival, sharing our distinctive work and raising our profile internationally,” says PANNZ Chief Executive Louise Gallagher.
PANNZ is one of seven projects funded through the Cultural Diplomacy International Programme, which has awarded $1.6 million to support New Zealand artists to engage with international audiences and markets.
PANNZ will share more details about the Edinburgh Festival 2027 showcase in the coming months.
