FAM: FOOD. ART. MARKET RETURNS WITH TOM SAINSBURY, CLOTHES SWAPS AND CULT PIES

FAM: Food. Art. Market returns to Karangahape Road on Saturday 13 June, bringing together vintage fashion, local food, live music, art and community for another lively day across one of Auckland's most creative neighbourhoods.

Held monthly on Karangahape Road, FAM transforms the precinct into a street-wide celebration of the people, businesses and independent creatives that make K' Road unique. From Beresford Square and Pitt Street through to St Kevins Arcade and beyond, visitors can spend the day browsing markets, discovering local artists, enjoying live performances and exploring the many corners of the precinct.

One of this month's highlights comes courtesy of Small Rave, who present The Great New Zealand Bird Call Competition. Contestants will be invited to put their best tūī, kererū and pīwakawaka impressions to the test, with comedian, actor and social media favourite Tom Sainsbury judging the action.

Crushes returns with its hugely popular Clothes Swap, drawing hundreds of fashion lovers keen to exchange pre-loved pieces and uncover new treasures. Alongside the swap, visitors can browse a curated selection of vintage clothing, homewares, art and local makers from across Auckland.

At Hopetoun Alpha Courtyard, the Food Truck x Chill Zone returns, creating the perfect spot to settle in for lunch. The lineup includes Pie Rolla's, the Auckland pie sensation known for its handcrafted all butter pies and devoted local following, alongside coffee from No.7, food trucks and DJs bringing the courtyard to life.

Visitors can shop a special pop-up from Miss Anne, rummage through the wardrobe of K' Road icon and fashion blogger Emma Gleason, explore Coco's Market, and discover art, fashion and all sorts of K' Road goodness along the way. Plus, DJ Alisha will be on the decks keeping things bouncy and vibey.

With Beresford Square now fully open and becoming an increasingly important gathering space on Karangahape Road, FAM continues to grow as a platform for local businesses, artists and community groups, inviting Aucklanders to spend a Saturday exploring everything the Iconic road has to offer.

Whether you're hunting for vintage gems, sampling some of Auckland's best street food, showing off your bird call skills or simply catching up with friends over coffee, FAM offers a uniquely K' Road way to spend a winter afternoon.
